Why American Clients are Usually not Invited into Banking Programmes

One thing we would like to discuss here is clients with an ego. We have numerous requests for private security transactions. If there is anyone, including the client, that has a "cowboy attitude," or other type of inflated, self-important, selfish, "get rich tomorrow" attitude, they will be prohibited from participating.

You absolutely cannot advertise PSTs on a public website domain, period. You may explain how they transpire, but you cannot solicit for any programme (Note: "Programme" is UK English, and is spelled correctly here). In Europe, PSTs are not called trade platforms; they are known as banking programmes, or simply "programmes." The reaction from a group which have real programmes, to those who ask about a "trading platform," is that the group immediately knows that they are dealing with Americans. This is not being offensive to United States citizens, but any arrogant attitude will be grounds for dismissal. The two primary reasons that most Americans do not get invited into any programmes are the "platform" belief, and the blatant public advertising.

This is very important; it cannot be repeated or stressed enough times. Most American clients are not allowed into a programme because they are too provincial and materialistic for this type of transaction. More importantly, we do not want our website to be misconstrued as an offer to buy or sell securities to anyone - it is not! Our job is to help you find qualified clients, just as we do ourselves. The reality, though, is that about 75 percent of the time, European banks that are involved in these types of transactions will not work with Americans.

We are not saying that Americans cannot be involved, but in our experience, most have an attitude of looking at a programme as an investment, when it is not! Furthermore, a lot of Americans who do have the kind of money needed to participate in a programme believe they have the right to control a transaction due to ego. This will not happen. Any new client invited into a programme will ultimately be prohibited from participating if their ego is on full display, whether American or any other nationality.
